| Hong Kong Films at the European Film Market (EFM) |
|
Hong Kong companies will be taking a number of recently released and upcoming Hong Kong films to EFM, which opens alongside Berlinale. With the latest films from critically acclaimed art-house directors such as Ann Hui, Zhang Yang; commercial favorites Andrew Lau, Alan Mak and the Pang Brothers, the films screening at the EFM is a true testament of the range and quality Hong Kong cinema has to offer.

HAF 2006 project, Getting Home (previously known as Air), will be participating in the Panorama section of the Berlinale. Directed by acclaimed director ZHANG Yang, this black comedy about a poor migrant worker who tries to transport the body of his dead friend home, will have its European debut in Berlin.

With 25 outstanding projects selected for the 2007, HAF is proud to announce part of the awards for HAF 2007 (20 ¡V 22 March).
The HAF Awards will return this year. Two awards of HKD 100,000 (approx. USD 13,000) each will be given to two selected HAF projects, one Hong Kong and one non-Hong Kong project.

Also making a return is the Technicolor Thailand Awards, presented by Technicolor Thailand Limited, where two in-kind service awards of USD 13,000 each will be given to two HAF projects.
Making its debut is the Hong Kong Cyberport Awards. Presented by the Digital Media Centre (DMC) of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Co. Ltd, two in-kind service awards of USD 13,000 each will be given to two HAF projects.

As the award season begins, HAF projects are basking in the limelight. Our 2005 project, Invisible Waves, has received 9 nominations at the 15th Thailand National Critic Awards, including Best Picture, Director and a Best Actor nod for Asano Tadanobu.
