Attended
by VIPs, organizers of the Founding and Core
Events, and supporters, the press conference
of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong 2006 took place
on 21 February. The occasion saw the exciting
details of the eight major events, as well as
premiere of the Entertainment Expo Hong Kong
trailer.
This
year the three Founding Events will celebrate
their big birthdays, namely FILMART's
10th Anniversary, Hong
Kong Film Awards' 25th Anniversary, and
Hong Kong International
Film Festival's 30th Anniversary. Entertainment
Expo Hong Kong, Asia's Multi-media Extravaganza,
will kick off with the Gala Opening on 20 March,
and will take place between 20 March to 19 April.

new Entertainment
Expo Hong Kong website, featuring the hottest
programme updates, contacts of the Founding
and Core Events, and the razzle-dazzle on the
2005 Entertainment Expo in the photo gallery!

This
year's FILMART will be hosting more exhibitors
and delegates. In addition to the numerous production
companies from Hong Kong, first-time exhibitors
joining FILMART in 2006 include German Films,
Roadrunner Network Inc. of the Philippines,
MBC of South Korea, the Bahamas Film
Commission, and exhibitors from Turkey,
Chile, Mexico and Iran. Unifrance, the
UK Film Council and KOFIC will also
be staging their own national pavilion. Register

This
year's HAF proudly presents 25 exciting film
projects from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland,
South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Iran
and Taiwan. Some of Asia's most talented and
prestigious filmmakers will be participating
in HAF this year, including Stanley Kwan, Fruit
Chan, Gordon Chan, Hur Jin-ho, Nonzee Nimibutr,
Zhang Yang and Miike Takashi.
These projects will be competing for the awards
offered by Hong Kong Trade Development Council
