2006 marks a milestone for FILMART and HAF

FILMART, HAF and Hong Kong Music Fair complete in celebration

FILMART, HAF and the Hong Kong Music Fair completed in celebrations and applauses to successful business deals and achievements of industry players. This year's FILMART and HAF have broken a number of records:

	More than 4,400 buyers visited the 10th FILMART and the inaugural Hong Kong Music Fair
	More than 650 meetings held among HAF filmmakers and financiers, producers, bankers, distributors and buyers, a 25% growth as compared to 2005.

Results from the on-site survey conducted by Oracle Added Value show that FILMART and HAF were voted as the most important film-marketing and film-financing events in Asia.

HAF rewards Asian filmmakers with recognition and opportunities

Congratulations to the seven exceptional Asian film projects, which were presented with awards for outstanding work at the HAF Awards Presentation cum FILMART 10th Anniversary Party on 22 March 2006. The awards were presented by HAF, Hubert Bals Fund of International Film Festival Rotterdam, Rome Film Festival and Technicolor Thailand Limited.

Of the film projects presented, at least one project closed deal at HAF. Filmko Pictures Ltd, a Hong Kong film company, and Fortissimo Film Sales have confirmed to invest in Chinese mainland director Zhang Yang's project, Air.

Dazzling moments of the Entertainment Expo Hong Kong

The Gala Opening of the Entertainment Expo Hong Kong 2006 was a shiny moment of the Hong Kong entertainment industry. The event was attended by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Mr Donald Tsang, as Guest of Honour, joined by filmmakers, celebrities as well as numerous international buyers.

The unforgettable night also kicked off a series of special events including seminars, screenings, press conferences and networking events held throughout FILMART and HAF, with the generous support from our sponsors. Online album of these events will be available soon.
