Don't miss the chance of expanding your client base in mainland China
What is 'Hong Kong Logistics Services Expo' ? It has been the third
time Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) organises the Expo. The
Expo aims to promote the excellence of Hong Kong logistics services to
mainland enterprises. In addition to a major exhibition, theme-specific
seminars, open forums, business matchings and networking activities will
be held concurrently. The Economic and Trade Commission of Guangdong Province
(GDETC) will continue to organise the 'Guangdong - Hong Kong Logistics
Co-operation Symposium' with TDC for the second time. GDETC will also
recruit locally bred logistics companies to form a Guangdong pavilion.
In the event 2004, both numbers of exhibiting companies and visitors recorded
satisfactory increment, a total of 51 exhibiting companies and 15,000
visitors attended the event.
Why should I exhibit ? According to China's WTO commitments, foreign-owned companies will gradually be allowed to establish wholly-owned enterprises in providing logistics services (e.g. storage and warehousing, freight forwarding, etc.). With the anticipated keen competition ahead, your company shall speed up the business development process in the mainland; or further strengthen the brand image in the market. In addition, progressive
increase in China's export value (an average of 17% increase from 1994
to 2003), together with the favourable business environment brought by
WTO accession, logistics services will surely bring numerous opportunities. All Hong Kong registered
companies, operating in logistics industry are welcomed to participate.
For details, please refer to Part II of the enclosed Application
Form. Who will I meet? Eleven TDC branch
offices in the mainland, together with GDETC, will invite mainland manufacturers,
trading companies, retailers, department stores, airport and port operators,
industry professionals, industry association and government authorities
to attend the event. |
